Hadith 26:151

'Amr ibn Muhammad Abu Sa'id—meaning al-'Anqazi—narrated to us, Isra'il informed us, and Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, and Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Mukhariq, from Tariq ibn Shihab, who said: 'Abdullah said: "I witnessed a scene from al-Miqdad—Abu Nu'aym said: ibn al-Aswad—that for me to be the one who performed it would be more beloved to me than anything that could be equated to it. He came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was supplicating against the polytheists, and he said: 'By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses: "Go, you and your Lord, and fight; indeed, we are sitting right here." Rather, we will fight to your right, and to your left, and from before you, and from behind you.' I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, shining, and that pleased him." Aswad said: "I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, shining because of that, and that pleased him." Abu Nu'aym said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, his face shone, and that pleased him."
