Hadith 26:166

Yazid narrated to us, Sharik ibn Abdullah informed us, from Ali ibn Badhima, from Abu Ubaydah, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the Children of Israel fell into sins, their scholars forbade them, but they did not desist. So they sat with them in their gatherings—Yazid said: I think he said: and their marketplaces—and they ate with them and drank with them. Consequently, Allah struck the hearts of some of them with others, and He cursed them upon the tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary. That is because they disobeyed and used to transgress." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was reclining, then he sat up and said: "No, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, until you constrain them to the truth, a firm constraint."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
