'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Abd al-Malik, from Khalid ibn Rib'i, who said: 'Abdullah said: "Indeed, your companion is the Khalil (intimate friend) of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
