Musnad Ahmad 26:235

Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Qays ibn al-Hajjaj, from Hanash al-San'ani, from Ibn Abbas, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, that he was with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the night of the Jinn. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him: "O Abdullah, do you have water with you?" He said: "I have nabidh (date-infused water) in a waterskin." He said: "Pour it upon me." So he performed ablution. He said: Then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "O Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, a drink and a purifier."
