Musnad Ahmad 26:239

'Arim ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Zayd narrated to us, 'Ali ibn al-Hakam al-Bunani narrated to us, from 'Uthman, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama and al-Aswad, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: The two sons of Mulayka came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "Our mother used to honor the husband, show affection to the child—and he mentioned the guest—but she buried a daughter alive during the Jahiliyyah." He said: "Your mother is in the Fire." They turned away, and evil was seen upon their faces. He ordered them to be brought back, so they returned, and joy was seen upon their faces, hoping that something had changed. He said: "My mother is with your mother." A man from the hypocrites said: "What does this avail his mother at all, while we are following at his heels?" A man from the Ansar—and I have never seen a man who asked more questions than him—said: "O Messenger of Allah, did your Lord promise you regarding her, or regarding both of them?" He thought that it was something he had heard. He said: "I did not ask my Lord for it, nor did He make me covet it, but I shall stand at the Praiseworthy Station on the Day of Resurrection." The Ansari said: "And what is that Praiseworthy Station?" He said: "That is when you are brought naked, barefoot, and uncircumcised. The first to be clothed will be Ibrahim. He will say: 'Clothe my friend.' So two white garments will be brought, and he will put them on. Then he will sit, facing the Throne. Then my clothing will be brought to me, and I will put it on. Then I will stand at his right hand in a station that no one else but me will occupy; the first and the last will envy me for it." He said: "And a river from al-Kawthar will be opened to the Basin." The hypocrites said: "Water never flows except over mud or pebbles." The man said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it over mud or pebbles?" He said: "Its mud is musk, and its pebbles are pearls." The hypocrite said: "I have never heard the like of today. Water never flows over mud or pebbles except that it has vegetation." The Ansari said: "O Messenger of Allah, does it have vegetation?" He said: "Yes, rods of gold." The hypocrite said: "I have never heard the like of today. A rod never grows except that it has leaves, and it has fruit." The Ansari said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there fruit?" He said: "Yes, colors of jewels. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever drinks a drink from it will never thirst after it, and whoever is deprived of it will never be quenched after it."
