Musnad Ahmad 26:255

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Abu Sa‘d, from Abu al-Kunud, who said: I found a gold ring during one of the military expeditions, so I wore it. Then I came to ‘Abdullah, and he took it and placed it between his jaws and chewed it. He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade wearing a gold ring," or he said, "a gold band."
