Musnad Ahmad 26:257

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: We talked much in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) one night, then we went to him in the morning, and he said: "The prophets were presented to me tonight with their nations. A prophet would pass by, and with him were three [people], and a prophet with him was a group, and a prophet with him were a few men, and a prophet with him was no one. Until Musa passed by me, with a large crowd of the Children of Israel, and they impressed me. I said: 'Who are these?' It was said to me: 'This is your brother Musa, with him are the Children of Israel.'" He said: "I said: 'Then where is my nation?' It was said to me: 'Look to your right.' I looked, and behold, the hills were blocked by the faces of men. Then it was said to me: 'Look to your left.' I looked, and behold, the horizon was blocked by the faces of men. It was said to me: 'Are you satisfied?' I said: 'I am satisfied, O Lord; I am satisfied, O Lord.'" He said: "It was said to me: 'Indeed, with these are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning.'" The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you; if you are able to be among the seventy thousand, then do so. If you fall short, then be among the people of the hills. If you fall short, then be among the people of the horizon, for I have seen people there jostling." 'Ukkashah ibn Mihsan stood up and said: "Supplicate to Allah for me, O Messenger of Allah, that He makes me one of the seventy." So he supplicated for him. Another man stood up and said: "Supplicate to Allah, O Messenger of Allah, that He makes me one of them." He said: "'Ukkashah has preceded you in that." He said: Then we talked and said: "Who do you think these seventy thousand are? Are they a people born in Islam who did not associate anything with Allah until they died?" That reached the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he said: "They are those who do not seek cauterization, do not seek ruqyah (incantations), do not practice augury, and upon their Lord they rely."
