Musnad Ahmad 26:501

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Hajjaj narrated to us, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to sleep lying on his back until he would snore, then he would get up and pray without performing ablution.
