Waki’ narrated to us, Mas’udi narrated to us, from Jami’ ibn Shaddad Abu Sakhra, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, who said: When ‘Abdullah came to the Jamrah, the Jamrat al-‘Aqabah, he went into the bottom of the valley and faced the Ka’bah. He placed the Jamrah to his right side, then he threw seven pebbles, saying the takbir with every pebble. Then he said: "From here, by the One besides whom there is no god, threw the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed."
