Musnad Ahmad 26:592

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, and Yazid narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd informed us, from 'Asim ibn Abi al-Najud, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drew a line for us, then he said: "This is the path of Allah." Then he drew lines to its right and to its left, then he said: "These are paths—Yazid said: 'scattered'—upon each of which is a devil calling to it." Then he recited: "And verily, this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow other paths, for they will separate you away from His path" [Al-An'am: 153].
