Musnad Ahmad 26:606

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah and Yazid narrated to us, al-Mas‘udi informed us, from Simak ibn Harb, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Abd Allah, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Mas‘ud, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), that he said: Hajjaj said: We were with the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he said. Yazid said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) gathered us while we were forty, and I was among the last of those who came to him. He said: "You will be granted victory, you will be successful, and [lands] will be opened for you. So whoever lives to see that, let him fear Allah, let him enjoin the good, and let him forbid the evil. And whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his seat in the Fire." Yazid added: "And let him maintain his ties of kinship."
