Musnad Ahmad 26:614

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq. ‘Affan said: Abu Ishaq informed us, from al-Aswad. And Muhammad said: From Abu Ishaq, he said: I heard al-Aswad narrating from ‘Abdullah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace): "That he recited [Surah] an-Najm, and he prostrated during it, and those who were with him prostrated." Except for an old man who took a handful of pebbles or soil and raised it to his forehead and said: "This suffices me." ‘Abdullah said: "I indeed saw him afterwards killed as a disbeliever."
