Musnad Ahmad 26:634

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, from Ibn al-Akhram, a man from Tayy, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "That he forbade 'al-tabaqqur' (excessive indulgence or over-involvement) regarding family and wealth."
