Musnad Ahmad 26:636

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj narrated to me, Shu'bah narrated to me, from al-Walid ibn al-'Ayzar. Hajjaj said: I heard Abu 'Amr al-Shaybani, and Muhammad said: From Abu 'Amr al-Shaybani, who said: The owner of this house narrated to us—and he pointed with his hand toward the house of 'Abdullah—and he did not name him to us—he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "Which deed is most beloved to Allah the Almighty?" He said: "Prayer at its time." Hajjaj said: "At its time." He said: "Then what?" He said: "Then honoring the parents." He said: "Then what?" He said: "Then Jihad in the way of Allah." And had I asked him for more, he would have added more for me.
