Waki’ narrated to us, al-Mas’udi narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Ibrahim, from ‘Alqamah, from ‘Abdullah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "What have I to do with the world? My likeness and the likeness of the world is only that of a rider who rested in the shade of a tree on a hot summer day, then departed and left it."
