Hadith 26:680

Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Alqamah, from Abdullah, who said: "Allah has cursed the women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck their eyebrows, and those who file their teeth for beauty." This reached a woman from the tribe of Banu Asad, who was called Umm Ya’qub. She came to him and said: "I have read what is between the two covers [of the Quran], and I did not find what you said." He said: "Did you not find: 'And whatever the Messenger has given you, take it; and whatever he has forbidden you, refrain from it'?" [Al-Hashr: 7]. She said: "Indeed, I see it in some of your family." He said: "Go and look." He said: So she went and looked, then she came back and said: "I did not see anything." Abdullah said: "If she had [done] that, we would not have lived with her."
