Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Shamir ibn 'Atiyyah al-Kahili, from Mughirah ibn Sa'd ibn al-Akhram al-Ta'i, from his father, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not acquire landed property (al-day'ah), lest you become desirous of the worldly life."
