'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Abu Fazara al-'Absi, who said: Abu Zayd, the freed slave of 'Amr ibn Hurayth, narrated to us, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: When it was the night of the Jinn, two men among them stayed behind and said: "We will witness the dawn prayer with you, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to me: "Do you have water with you?" I said: "I do not have water with me, but I have a water skin containing nabidh (date-infused water)." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A good date and purifying water." Then he performed ablution.
