Hadith 26:813
Hashim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, who said: I heard an-Nazzal ibn Sabrah al-Hilali narrating from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: I heard a man recite a verse, and I had heard the opposite of it from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. So I took him and brought him to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: I recognized displeasure on the face of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "Both of you are doing well; do not differ." To the best of my knowledge, he said: Mis'ar mentioned in it: "Do not differ, for those who were before you differed and it destroyed them."
