Musnad Ahmad 26:827

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad ibn Yazid al-Nakha'i narrated to me, from his paternal uncle 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, who said: I stood with 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud before the Jamrah. When he stood before it, he said: "This, by the One besides whom there is no god, is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed, the day he stoned it." He said: Then 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud stoned it with seven pebbles, saying the takbir with every pebble he threw, then he departed.
