Hadith 26:842
Al-Walid ibn al-Qasim ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah, who said: Abdullah heard of an eclipse and said: We, the companions of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to consider the signs as a blessing, while you consider them a source of fear. We were with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we had no water with us. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to us: "Seek out whoever has some" — meaning water. We did so, and water was brought and poured into a vessel. He then placed his palms into it, and the water began to flow from between his fingers. Then he said: "Come to the blessed purification, and the blessing is from Allah." I filled my stomach with it, and the people drank. Abdullah said: We used to hear the glorification (tasbih) of the food while it was being eaten.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
