'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, al-Thawri narrated to us, from 'Alqamah ibn Marthad, from al-Mughirah ibn 'Abd Allah al-Yashkuri, from al-Ma'rur ibn Suwayd, from 'Abd Allah, who said: Umm Habibah said: "O Allah, grant me enjoyment with my husband, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and with my father, Abu Sufyan, and with my brother, Mu'awiyah." The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "You have asked Allah for appointed terms, divided provisions, and reached traces. Nothing of them shall be hastened before its time, and nothing of them shall be delayed after its time. If you had asked Allah to protect you from a punishment in the Fire and a punishment in the grave, it would have been better for you." He said: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, the monkeys and the swine, are they from those who were transformed?" The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, did not transform a people, or destroy a people, and then grant them offspring or a legacy. And the monkeys and the swine existed before that."
