Hadith 26:9
Hashim narrated to us, Al-Awwam informed us, from Jabalah ibn Suhaym, from Mu’athir ibn ‘Afazah, from Ibn Mas’ud, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "I met Ibrahim, Musa, and ‘Isa on the night I was taken on the Night Journey." He said: "They discussed the matter of the Hour. They referred their matter to Ibrahim, and he said: 'I have no knowledge of it.' They referred the matter to Musa, and he said: 'I have no knowledge of it.' They referred the matter to ‘Isa, and he said: 'As for its occurrence, no one knows it except Allah. That is among what my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, covenanted to me: that the Dajjal will emerge.' He said: 'And I will have two rods with me. When he sees me, he will melt as lead melts.' He said: 'Then Allah will destroy him, to the extent that the stone and the tree will say: "O Muslim, there is a disbeliever beneath me, so come and kill him." He said: 'Then Allah will destroy them, and the people will return to their lands and their homelands.' He said: 'At that time, Ya’juj and Ma’juj will emerge, and they will descend from every elevation. They will trample their lands; they will not come upon anything except that they will destroy it, and they will not pass by any water except that they will drink it. Then the people will return to me and complain about them, so I will supplicate to Allah against them, and Allah will destroy them and cause them to die, until the earth will become foul from the stench of their odor.' He said: 'Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will send down rain, and it will sweep away their bodies until it casts them into the sea.'" My father said: "Something escaped me here that I did not understand, like 'adīm (hide/leather)." Yazid—meaning Ibn Harun—said: "Then the mountains will be leveled, and the earth will be stretched out like the stretching of leather." Then he returned to the hadith of Hashim, saying: "And among what my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, covenanted to me is: that when that is the case, the Hour will be like a pregnant woman at full term, whose family does not know when she will surprise them with her delivery, by night or by day."
حدثنا هشيم، أخبرنا العوام، عن جبلة بن سحيم، عن مؤثر بن عفازة، عن ابن مسعود، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لقيت ليلة أسري بي إبراهيم، وموسى، وعيسى "، قال: " فتذاكروا أمر الساعة، فردوا أمرهم إلى إبراهيم، فقال: لا علم لي بها، فردوا الأمر إلى موسى، فقال: لا علم لي بها، فردوا الأمر إلى عيسى، فقال : أما وجبتها، فلا يعلمها أحد إلا الله، ذلك وفيما عهد إلي ربي عز وجل أن الدجال خارج، قال: ومعي قضيبين ، فإذا رآني، ذاب كما يذوب الرصاص، قال: فيهلكه الله، حتى إن الحجر، والشجر ليقول: يا مسلم، إن تحتي كافرا، فتعال فاقتله، قال: فيهلكهم الله، ثم يرجع الناس إلى بلادهم وأوطانهم، قال: فعند ذلك يخرج يأجوج، ومأجوج، وهم من كل حدب ينسلون، فيطئون بلادهم، لا يأتون على شيء إلا أهلكوه، ولا يمرون على ماء إلا شربوه، ثم يرجع الناس إلي فيشكونهم، فأدعو الله عليهم، فيهلكهم الله ويميتهم، حتى تجوى الأرض من نتن ريحهم، قال: فينزل الله عز وجل المطر، فتجرف أجسادهم حتى يقذفهم في البحر " قال أبي: " ذهب علي هاهنا شيء لم أفهمه، كأديم "، وقال يزيد يعني ابن هارون: " ثم تنسف الجبال، وتمد الأرض مد الأديم " ثم رجع إلى حديث هشيم، قال: " ففيما عهد إلي ربي عز وجل: أن ذلك إذا كان كذلك، فإن الساعة كالحامل المتم، التي لا يدري أهلها متى تفجؤهم بولادتها ليلا أو نهارا "
