Abu al-Hakam, or al-Hakam ibn Sufyan, said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "It is not permissible for a man to take his brother's staff, neither in jest nor in earnest. And if one of you takes his brother's staff, let him return it to him."
