Hadith 1:4
Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Isra’il said, Abu Ishaq said, from Zayd ibn Yuthay’, from Abu Bakr: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent him with *Bara’ah* (Surah At-Tawbah) to the people of Makkah: "No polytheist shall perform Hajj after this year, no naked person shall circumambulate the House, and no soul shall enter Paradise except a Muslim soul. Whoever has a treaty between himself and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, then his term is until his treaty expires. And Allah is free from the polytheists, and so is His Messenger." He said: So he traveled with it for three [days]. Then he [the Prophet] said to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: "Follow him, bring Abu Bakr back to me, and you deliver it." He said: So he did that. He said: When Abu Bakr came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, he wept and said: "O Messenger of Allah, has something happened regarding me?" He said: "Nothing has happened regarding you except good, but I was commanded that no one should deliver it except me or a man from me."
