Musnad Ahmad 1:52

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Isma‘il, who said: I heard Qays ibn Abi Hazim narrating from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq: That he delivered a sermon and said: "O people, you recite this verse and place it in a context other than that which Allah intended: 'O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves; those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided' [5:105]. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'If the people see an evil among them and do not denounce it, it is imminent that Allah will encompass them all with a punishment.'"
