Musnad Ahmad 1:59

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad bin 'Amr, from Abu Salamah, that Fatimah said to Abu Bakr: "Who inherits from you when you die?" He said: "My children and my family." She said: "Then why do we not inherit from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: 'Indeed, a prophet is not inherited from.' But I shall provide for those whom the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to provide for, and I shall spend upon those whom the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to spend upon."
