مسند أبي بكر الصديق (1) رضي الله عنه
Hadith 1:77
Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Kulayb, he said: A sheikh from Quraysh, from Banu Taym, narrated to me, he said: So-and-so and so-and-so narrated to me—and he counted six or seven, all of them from Quraysh, among them 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr—he said: While we were sitting with 'Umar, 'Ali and al-'Abbas entered, and their voices had risen. 'Umar said: "Desist, O 'Abbas. I know what you are saying; you are saying: 'My brother's son, and I have half of the wealth.' And I know what you are saying, O 'Ali; you are saying: 'His daughter is under me, and she has half of the wealth.' This is what was in the hand of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we saw how he used to act regarding it. Then Abu Bakr took charge of it after him, and he acted regarding it according to the action of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then I took charge of it after Abu Bakr, and I swear by Allah that I will strive to act regarding it according to the action of the Messenger of Allah and the action of Abu Bakr." Then he said: "Abu Bakr narrated to me—and he swore by Allah that he was truthful—that he heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'Indeed, a prophet is not inherited from; his inheritance is only for the poor Muslims and the needy.' And Abu Bakr narrated to me—and he swore by Allah that he was truthful—that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: 'A prophet does not die until some of his nation leads him in prayer.'" "This is what was in the hand of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we saw how he used to act regarding it. If you both wish, I will give it to you so that you may act regarding it according to the action of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the action of Abu Bakr, until I hand it over to you." He said: So they left, then they came back. Al-'Abbas said: "Hand it over to 'Ali, for I have willingly granted it to him."
حدثنا يحيى بن حماد، قال: حدثنا أبو عوانة، عن عاصم بن كليب، قال: حدثني شيخ من قريش من بني تيم، قال: حدثني فلان، وفلان، فعد ستة أو سبعة كلهم من قريش، فيهم عبد الله بن الزبير، قال: بينا نحن جلوس عند عمر إذ دخل علي والعباس، قد ارتفعت أصواتهما، فقال عمر: مه يا عباس، قد علمت ما تقول، تقول: ابن أخي، ولي شطر المال، وقد علمت ما تقول يا علي، تقول: ابنته تحتي، ولها شطر المال، وهذا ما كان في يدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقد رأينا كيف كان يصنع فيه، فوليه أبو بكر من بعده، فعمل فيه بعمل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم وليته من بعد أبي بكر فأحلف بالله لأجهدن أن أعمل فيه بعمل رسول الله وعمل أبي بكر. ثم قال: حدثني أبو بكر - وحلف بالله أنه لصادق - أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " إن النبي لا يورث، وإنما ميراثه في فقراء المسلمين والمساكين "، وحدثني أبو بكر - وحلف بالله إنه صادق -: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن النبي لا يموت حتى يؤمه بعض أمته ". وهذا ما كان في يدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقد رأينا كيف كان يصنع فيه، فإن شئتما أعطيتكما لتعملا فيه بعمل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعمل أبي بكر حتى أدفعه إليكما، قال: فخلوا ثم جاءا، فقال العباس: ادفعه إلى علي، فإني قد طبت نفسا به له .
