Abu Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Rabi'ah narrated to me, Abd al-Rahman ibn Hurmuz al-A'raj narrated to me, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "When you hear the voices of the roosters, they have seen an angel, so ask Allah and desire of Him. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, they have seen a devil, so seek refuge in Allah from the evil of what they have seen."
