Musnad Ahmad 30:1180

Abu Amir narrated to us, Ismail—meaning Ibn Muslim—narrated to us, from Abu al-Mutawakkil, from Abu Hurairah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave me some dates, so I placed them in a basket of ours, and we hung it from the ceiling of the house. We did not cease eating from it until the last of it was taken by the people of Ash-Sham when they raided Medina."
