Musnad Ahmad 30:1273

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "If I had remained in prison as long as Yusuf remained, and then the caller came to me, I would have answered him, when the messenger came to him and said: 'Return to your lord and ask him what is the case of the women who cut their hands; indeed, my Lord is Knowing of their plan.' And may the mercy of Allah be upon Lut, for he used to seek refuge in a strong support, when he said to his people: 'If only I had against you some power or could take refuge in a strong support.' And Allah did not send any prophet after him except that he was among the elite of his people."
