Musnad Ahmad 30:1282

Muhammad ibn Bishr narrated to us, Hisham ibn Urwah narrated to us, Wahb ibn Kaysan narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Ata, from Salamah ibn al-Azraq, who said: One of the daughters-in-law of Marwan died, so the people attended her funeral, and Abu Hurayrah attended it, and there were women with them who were weeping. Marwan ordered them [to be removed], but Abu Hurayrah said: "Leave them, for a funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and there were wailers with it, and Umar rebuked them." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "Leave them, for the soul is afflicted, the eye is tearful, and the covenant is recent."
