Musnad Ahmad 30:1298

Abu Amir narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Musa ibn Wardan narrated to me, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "A person is upon the religion of his close friend, so let one of you look at whom he takes as a close friend."
