Musnad Ahmad 30:1355

Yunus narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Yazid—meaning Ibn al-Had—from ‘Amr ibn Quhayd ibn Mutarrif al-Ghifari, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you see if someone transgresses against my property?" He said: "Adjure him by Allah." He said: "What if they refuse me?" He said: "Adjure him by Allah." He said: "What if they refuse me?" He said: "Adjure him by Allah." He said: "What if they refuse me?" He said: "Then fight. If you are killed, then you are in Paradise, and if you kill, then he is in the Fire."
