Musnad Ahmad 30:1369

Yunus narrated to us, Laith narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to me, from his father, that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim woman to travel for a night, except while there is a man with her who is a mahram to her."
