'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Amr informed us, from Safwan—meaning Ibn Sulaym—from al-Qa'qa' ibn al-Lajlaj, from Abu Hurayrah, and Suhayl, from Safwan ibn Sulaym, from al-Qa'qa' ibn al-Lajlaj, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Stinginess and faith do not gather in the heart of a man, and dust in the way of Allah and the smoke of Hell do not gather on the face of a servant." Hammad said: One of them said "al-Qa'qa' ibn al-Lajlaj," and the other said "al-Lajlaj ibn al-Qa'qa'."
