Musnad Ahmad 30:1451

'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Wasi' narrated to us, from a man who is called Ma'ruf, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: "My intimate friend (Khalil), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, advised me not to sleep unless I have performed the Witr prayer."
