Musnad Ahmad 30:149

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa’id, from Abu Hurayrah, in a narration: "Hasten with your funerals; for if it is righteous, you are advancing it toward what is good, and if it is otherwise, it is an evil that you are removing from your necks." And he said another time, attributing it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "Hasten with the funeral; for if it is righteous, it is good that you are advancing it toward."
