Musnad Ahmad 30:1495

Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu Yunus narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah—[Abdullah ibn Ahmad said]: My father said: "He did not attribute it to the Prophet (marfu')"—he said: The Angel of Death came to Moses and said: "Answer your Lord." Moses struck the eye of the Angel of Death and gouged it out. The angel returned to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, and said: "You sent me to a servant of Yours who does not want to die, and he has gouged out my eye." He said: So Allah restored his eye to him and said: "Return to My servant and say to him: 'Do you want life? If you want life, then place your hand on the back of a bull; for every hair your hand covers, you will live for a year.'" He said: "Then what?" He said: "Then death." He said: "Then now, O Lord, from near."
