Hadith 30:1507

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, from al-Muhajir, from Abu al-Aliyah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: I brought some dates to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, one day and said: "Supplicate to Allah for me to place blessing in them." He said: So he arranged them before him. He said: Then he supplicated, and said to me: "Place them in a provision bag, and insert your hand [into it], and do not scatter them." He said: So I carried from it such and such loads in the way of Allah, and we would eat, and we would feed others. It never left my waist-wrapper. When Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, was killed, it was severed from my waist-wrapper, and it fell.
