Musnad Ahmad 30:1591

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Qurrah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every speech or matter of importance that does not begin with the remembrance of Allah is abtar (defective/cut off) — or he said: aqta' (severed)."
