Makki narrated to us, Hashim ibn Hashim narrated to us, from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn al-Harith ibn Kinanah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, until when we were beneath the mountain pass of Laft, Khalid ibn al-Walid appeared to us from the pass. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to Abu Hurayrah: "Look, who is this?" Abu Hurayrah said: "Khalid ibn al-Walid." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "An excellent servant of Allah is this."
