Yunus and Surayj narrated to us, they said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Hilal, from ‘Ata’ ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting in his gathering speaking to the people, a Bedouin came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continued speaking. Some of the people said: "He heard him but disliked what he said." Others said: "Rather, he did not hear him." Until, when he finished his speech, he said: "Where is the one asking about the Hour?" He said: "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "When the trust is lost, then await the Hour." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, how? Or what is its loss?" He said: "When authority is given to those who are not worthy of it, then await the Hour."
