Musnad Ahmad 30:1612

Abu Salamah narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz informed us, from Thawr ibn Zayd, from Abu al-Ghayth, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever takes the wealth of the people, intending to pay it back, Allah will pay it back on his behalf. And whoever takes it, intending to squander it, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, will squander him."
