Musnad Ahmad 30:1628

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, 'Ikrimah ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, he said: Damdam ibn Jawsa al-Haffani narrated to us, he heard Abu Hurayrah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "There were two men among the Children of Israel. One of them was diligent in worship, and the other was extravagant against his own soul. They were brothers. The diligent one would constantly see the other committing a sin, so he would say: 'Woe to you, desist!' The sinner would say: 'Leave me to my Lord.'" Then he mentioned the like of the hadith of Abu 'Amir.
