Surayj narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Nafi’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Dhi’b, from Sa’id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until my Ummah takes to the ways of the nations and generations before it, span by span and cubit by cubit." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, just as Persia and Rome did?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "And are the people anything other than those?"
