Musnad Ahmad 30:1699

Rawh narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsa narrated to us, he said: Al-Zuhri narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, heard Abdullah ibn Qays reciting, and he said: "This one has indeed been given [a portion] of the flutes of the family of David."
