Musnad Ahmad 30:1769

Abu Sa‘d narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Ajlan narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have indeed considered ordering my young men to gather firewood, then I would order a man to lead the people in prayer, then I would go to the men who stay behind from the prayer and burn their houses down upon them. By Allah, if one of them knew that he would find a fat piece of meat or two good targets [for shooting] by attending it, he would have attended it. And if they knew what is in it [the prayer], they would have come to it, even if crawling."
