Musnad Ahmad 30:1808

Qutaybah narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, from Sa‘id al-Maqburi and al-Qa‘qa‘ ibn Hakim, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "One dirham has surpassed two dirhams." They said: "And how is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "A man had two dirhams, so he gave the better of the two as charity. Then a man went to the side of his wealth and took one hundred thousand dirhams from it and gave it as charity."
