Qutaybah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from al-Harith ibn Yazid, from Thabit ibn al-Harith, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Faith is Yemeni, and jurisprudence is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni. The people of Yemen have come to you; they are the most tender of hearts and the softest of souls. Disbelief is toward the East, and pride and arrogance are in the people of horses and camels, and the loud-voiced herdsmen of wool-bearing animals, while tranquility is in the people of sheep."
